I'm wondering if telling the guy this would only serve to make him more depressed. It would seem that some JWs pay close attention to the status quo, and they don't easily adjust to changes which are often made for expedience and politics rather than spiritual reasons. The bottom line for this thoughtful Witness is 'like it or lump it', because past experience has demonstrated that the masses accept, and that's all the WTS needs. It hasn't got time or patience for those who lag behind picking at wounds.
Kinda sad, isn't it?
