My answer is the Catholic Church. It is the only Christian group which can trace its bishops back to the apostles (termed "apostolic succession") and can also trace its doctrines, including the Immaculate Conception of Mary, the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, and a state of purification, or Purgatory, after death, should the Christian not be totally cleansed of sin at the moment of death. An examination of the writings of the Church Fathers reveals that, doctrinally, they were thoroughly Catholic.

Chris
