I think Dr. Kevorkian is a brave pioneer and a medical hero. He's making himself a martyr for his cause though. I have always thought that euthanasia should be as readily available for humans as it is for animals. It should be, of course,
the choice of the human. If you've ever known anyone with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or nursed anyone with this horrible disease you would know why I think Dr. Kevorkian is great. There are many, many doctors who practise euthanasia -
they just do it discreetly.
