CYGNUS - In the transliterated text, it consistently renders Iesous as "yeesoos." Do you think russ.org is wrong, and if so, why?
The way you have given "yeesoos" does not show ANY syllables!
But I suppose scholars have different opinions on the issue of pronuciation. Stafford, Strong, Goodrick, Goodwin and others do not view "ie" as a diphthong, while some internet group does.
Do you know of a printed GREEK GRAMMAR that lists "ie" as a diphthong?
