"Truth & War" --- Now those are two words which should never appear in the same sentence.
It was less then two weeks ago when I signed off of H2O, content to allow events to develop sufficiently to justify my returning to this forum; and while most people would probably not consider what is happening in that tiny far flung corner of the world as being terribly relevant, I wanted to take the time to make a comment on your post.
First off, it should be
understood that wars are largely fought with propaganda to gain public support and to gain the moral higher ground. When we are told that the reason for the bombing is because of atrocities being comitted by the Serbians, it must be
realized that there are no less then 15 civil wars going on this very moment, with the very same atrocities and outrages being perpetrated against defenseless people. So, while intervention may seem noble on the part of the allies, one
could rightly ask the question: "Where is the indignation over the numerous other situations"? Perhaps its because they don't drive cars and go to shopping malls, or speak English as Westerners? Regardless of the rationale, for that
reason we must look beyond the obvious.
Some may be inclined to dismiss this most recent bombing affair as a rerun of the CNN production called the Gulf War. That would be mistake. What is different is the fact that when Iraq
invaded Kuwait back in 1991, the UN pretty much unanimously supported the coalition against Sadaam Hussien. That is not the case this time. In fact, the UN Security Counsel was not even consulted, the Counsel's permanent members of
course being the U.S., Britain, France, Russia, and China. Russia and China are adamantly opposed to what they see as Anglo-American imperialism.
Yesterday Kofi Anin, the UN General Secretary reminded the world that the UN was the official agency for establishing "peace and security" --- even using that exact phrase. So, while NATO is in fact a regional military arm of the United Nations Organization, and the Anglo-American dual world empire is in fact the UN's creator and promoter, at least in a human sense, nonetheless, the situation as it stands finds the U.S led NATO forces acting outside international law as dictated by the UN. The same question of UN legality has been raised with the U.S.'s ongoing unilateral bombing of Iraq as well.
In the face of the world's collapsing economy, and given Serbia's close military alliance with Russia, not to mention the escalating situation in the Middle East, the potential certainly exists for an enormous cataclysm. If the unthinkable happens, meaning a nuclear engagement, it would certainly provide the political justification for turning over the reigns of global control to the United Nations.
At any rate, this system is
done. The events in the coming weeks and months are certain to pierce through even the most case-hardened hearts like a bunker-busting tomahawk cruise missile. Everyone who has put their trust in men is destined by Jehovah to be sorely
disappointed. / You Know
