As computers become more available at cheaper prices they find there way into more homes of Jehovah's Witnesses. Of course "The Society" probably hopes to find a way to make people stop using them, but that is unlikely to say the least.
One outcome of all this, is that more software is sold, loaned, or copied into these machines. However, the people, being normal, simple dubs, also bring their fear of demons with them. This fear seems un-natural to normal people, but to
them it's real. For example...one sister is visiting my house a while back and she is complaining that "Mavis Beacon Number 7" has demon stuff in it. Here in the U.S. the Mavis Beacon series of typing tutor programs is very popular. The
series has many versions and much fun stuff is included to make the typing course a little more fun with included games and such. Apparently, version number 7 has demon inspired games, or games that allow demons to launch themselves out of
your computer into your house, kill the dog, tear up your Bible, and make your life generally miserable. Well, at one time I thought the person who told me that was mostly sane, but I now have anothe opinion. So watch out..."Deemin Typing"
