Hi New2This,

Yes it is a sad state of things when men feel that they are above God and can hurt other people for their own gain. I'm sure Satan has his grubby little paws in the matter. "For the entire inhabited earth is lying in the power of the wicked one." But now Jehovah is ruling and is phasing in his own system. Right now we live in a system where "When anyone wicked rules, the people sigh." But in Jehovah's system, "When the righteous are many, the people rejoice." (Proverbs 29:2) "And just a little while longer and the wicked one will be no more, And you will certainly give attention to his place and he will not be." (psalms 37:10)

Yes, war itself is scary, even scarier to those involved. Men that do these things act because they have no fear of Jehovah. At Psalms 33:12 it says "Happy is the nation whose God is Jehovah." Well, I don't know of many nations that are too awful happy right now, if that says anything.

But I rather liked this next set of verses. Kinda made me feel all warm inside :-)

"I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mortal men, the sons of men who are but grass, that you forget the LORD (Jehovah) your maker, who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth, that you live in constant terror every day because of the wrath of the oppressor, who is bent on destruction? For where is the wrath of the oppressor? The cowering prisoners will soon be set free; they will not die in their dungeon, nor will they lack bread. For I am the LORD (Jehovah) your God, who churns up the sea so that its waves roar-the LORD (Jehovah) Almighty is his name. I have put my words in your mouth and covered you with the shadow of my hand-I who set the heavens in place, who laid the foundations of the earth and who say to Zion, "You are my people."(Isaiah 51:12-16)

It is sad, yes, to see these things happen, but don't let it drag you down. Always remember that Jehovah is not far off. Just keep in mind, I'm sure he hates this just as much as you do, and more. "For you are not a God taking delight in wickedness, no one bad may reside for any time with you....A man of bloodshed and deception Jehovah detests." (psalms 5:5-6) "He is making wars to cease to the extremity of the earth." (psalms 46-9)

New2This, I hope this helps you out. If you want to talk, just email me anytime.

In Jehovah's Love,

Jason
