First of all, please don't confuse me with Upper-Case Doug, whom you are criticizing. No relation between us.

But I want to say that I think Doug is the focus of criticism because he's one of the best writers on this board (and there are a lot of good writers). Sure, he uses some harsh language; so does everyone who's a good writer. The mealy-mouthed, "happifying," oh-so-"encouraging" folk don't have much substance, after all. Didn't Jesus say in Revelation that he wished people were either hot or cold? Enough, please, of trying to make everyone lukewarm. (I notice that you do some name-calling here, too.) If and when the juice really does go out of people's posts, no one will read this board. I imagine that a lot of people come here just to see what Doug has to say.
