Personally I believe it's indiscriminate. In the wrong place at the wrong time. Being unfortunate enough to come across a JW, often in a personal setting, who has the gift of the gab. The initial JW message sounds quite enticing - so the bait is laid and the victim nibbles away at it until he/she is hooked. Much of the unpalitable aspects of the church are carefully concealed until the victim is softened up enough to be hit with the harsh realities of JW life. Usually by then, it's too late for the person to pull back - though some do. But usually it's only when the victim has recieved enlightening information from someone in the know. But don't be fooled, a knowledgable JW can make what they are offering sound wonderful.
