Why do people become JW's? I am not one...but, considering becoming one...although, I'm not sure yet...so, any advice?
Anyone?

Martin!
Thank-God I caught you in time!
Don't do it!
People become jWs because they want a drug.
And joining the WatchtowerKult is cheaper than heroin and does not carry the immediate stigma
of "using".
We cite the drug analogy because we've been there.
Heroin gives a very false sense of security.
Nothing else matters when you are using it.
A wave of warm fuzziness slowly surrounds you.
Everything is beautiful.
You feel like you have re-entered your Mother's womb.
Can you imagine a more cozy feeling than that?
You surrender all to this drug.
The first experience with it is fantastic.
Every experience after that slowly diminishes in "quality".
The Watchtower jehovah Witness Kult family is like this drug.
We imagine that you are in or about to enter the "Love-Bombing" stage, where the Kult family members shower you with attention and pump you up.
It feels GOOD, don't it?
It will not last.
It is a false "high". It is not genuine...
and it is EXTREMELY CONDITIONAL... and you would discover this later, if you joined.
But, if you get sucked in to the Kult during the LOveBOmb stage, you will more likely than not be convinced that you are joining One Big Happy Spiritual Family Who Love You Far More Than Your Natural Family And Who Would Stick With You Through Thick And Thin No Matter What!

This is a vicious Lie!
They will abandon you in a NewYawkMinute if you commit a Heinous Kult Krime like question Watchtower Authority, or ask certain probing questions.

But getting back to the drug analogy...
you will have to "surrender all" to the Watchtower Organization. They will take over and run your life for you and give you your "fixes", just as if you were dependent on the addictive narcotic.
You will get "strung out" and you will "have to have it".

We have "used" heroin and we have "used" the Watchtower Kult.
Our fling with the White Lady was brief, Thank God, and we were able to break free.
But our dependency on the Watchtower Mother spanned two decades and it was TOUGH to come clean!

Think Twice and Three Times before you go doing something stupid, Martin.
