Thanks Drake for your explanation re: references to Anti-Christ. It seems that there are many that connect the Beast of Revelations with the "anti-christ" and I mistakenly assumed you were doing the same.
If Jesus the Christ came in
the flesh the first time yet said he "came down from heaven" is it not possible that the "coming on clouds" could also be an allusion to the same kind of "coming"?
Also Revelations indicates he will come with a "new name" and I beleive
his followers will carry a "new name". If my memeory serves me correctly, it would seem that anyone adhering to the "old name, or names" may be missing the mark. As Jesus for the most part fulfilled old testament prophecies symbolocially,
and the Jews of his day misunderstood them because they were looking for literal fulfillment, why should we be looking for a literal king reigning for 1000 years? Wouldn't that be falling into the same trap?
