I asked for a change in the FPP months ago when I got tired of the amount of abuse automatically heaped on anyone making a positive statement about Jdubs or religion in general.
I vented my frustration against what I percieved
as an atheist takeover of h2o and lack of moderator action regarding the FPP.
It wasn't so long ago that I castigated others for being impolite and arrogant.
My views and attitudes have continued to change but I am still as
inconsistent as before at times. I have been wrong about a lot of things and can understand the frustration of many of my former opponents.
It gets maddening when you have posted time after time, about the very same things and have
people just continue to 'hide their heads in the sand'. That is why some often come off as arrogant and condesending.
We often fool ourselves and lie to ourselves. Others see this as dishonesty but we do it without even thinking!
We
lash out in anger because religion is by it's emotional nature very personal to most of us. I have come to realize also that the refusal to have religion is also a personal one.
I too appreciate the valuable service that those
responsible for this board have done towards their fellow man.
Pandora's box has been opened and the contents have been let out to do what they will. "Things hidden will come to light." This is finally coming true for the Watchtower Society. They could hide and revise for decades, doubters had no way to organize a resistance, old publications were quietly forgotten.
Yahweh's will be done.
