I guess we are arguing because I took exception to the statement that we stopped Hitler. I think that the problem may be that we both seem to have similar views, and we are working ourselves into a froth over small points of disagreement. I too am disturbed by those who attempt to revise history, painting the US as the aggressor in WWII. I know a great deal about the subject, both from books, and from family involvement. Plus, your anti-Semitic remark bothered me a great and deal, so that had me ready to head to the University library for references to support my claims about lend-lease. I would imagine that, given a case of beer, and about 8 hours of arguing, we could come to a mutually agreeable conclusion about WW II. Of course, this would require you to agree with me, but I'm quite sure I could convince you that I'm right. :)
