We (me and Dave) went to live in Hong Kong soon after we were d'fd. We wanted to make up for the lost time, by seeing the world and having fun. We acted rather irresponsibly at times. Too much drinking and partying. Which seems to be a common passtime amongst my fellow exjws. One Chinese New Year in Hong Kong we stuffed 13 people (5 were kids) into our 81' Honda Accord (hatch back) and drove from the New Territories into Kowloon. Yes we'd been drinking. I acknowledge this was the height of stupidity and I feel ashamed to even admit that we could have been that foolish. But those were fun times and we got all our adolescent behavior out of our systems by the time we reached 40. Now days David loves his restored MGA and I'm settling a back into life in Australia doing things I've not done for years. Gardening and cooking for example. We're also very 'hands on' parents, as our little family unit is extremely important to us - being cut off from all the nieces and nephews means we cherish our two kids more than anything else in our lives. I've enjoyed reading everyone else's posts - this was a good thread to start 5GJW!
