This is a good point. And this is why the Messiah and his organization appear totally "in secret", so as not to be bothered by Satan's organizations!!
Just think, millions of servants gathered, who never directly meet with the Messiah, thus they remain totally invisible.
But they have seen the Messiah in person, if they wanted to, when he appeared in public as an entertainer for a brief period of time. In fact, that is one aspect of the fulfillment of the Messiah appearing "like ligtening, which shines from Eastern parts and Western parts."
That was a prophecy that indicated the Messiah could be widely seen in public but just for a short period of time. So during one year, the Messiah could be seen in public theatres from the East Coast of the U.S. all the way to
Hawaii. So that technically, if you knew who the Messiah was, and you wanted to, it wasn't that hard to see him.
In this case, you could just buy a ticket and wait and there he was on stage and you could stare at him directly. That
was a grand opportunity for many who were in the fold at the time.
But again, this was totally anonymous. Even the Messiah himself didn't know he was the Messiah at this time. But this is part of the nature of his meeting them "in the clouds", that is, in an indirect way. And thus the remain out of the sight of the worldly forces and spies, and infiltraters, etc. It's kind of hard to infiltrate or break-up an "invisible" organization that never meets with it's leader directly.
So all the government knows is that I'm some crackpot claiming to be the Messiah, with no visible subjects. So why should they pay any attention to me? They can affect me, but they can't affect my organization who are the ones who need protection.
So everything is really working out great.
By the way, just for the record, the fulfillment about "those who pierced him would see him" simply means some of those who spiritually pierced me and put me to death with respect to my interaction at certain times with the organization, some of those would end up in the "fold" as my disciples.
This further underscores that those who "see me" are all insiders. So some of those who did spiritually "kill me" did later become converted.
