Yes, excellent point Rick. I do think I might need to explain about this perception is reality thing. I meant reality in the eyes of the perceiver. Not reality in a literal sense.

As far as the "houses" crumbling in ten or twenty years, I think that is too short of a number. If you really think about the resources that are remaining and figure in human ingenuity it seems more reasonable to me that there is much longer than ten or twenty years, left for this great world God gave us.

Regardless of how much time is left I think we should do what we can to contribute to it. There are many stories of one brave and heroic person making positive differences for many. I saw Shindler's List the other night, what of him? What if he had abandoned hope of being able to make a difference? I think, at the end of the movie, it said today there are 7000 (?) decendents of the people he saved.

I will never stop trying and I will never give up hope of a better life for my children and their children. To do so would be to add to the burden of those who DO try to make a difference.

Besides Rick, it is easier to feel Christian love with hope in your heart.
