You raised some controversial issues, and I want you to know my stand on the subject. I was specifically referring to those "fat cats" who murder others, directly or indirectly, in order to sit their fat behinds on those corinthian leather seats. I'm not talking about good people who have worked hard and deserve to live comfortably. I work hard and drive a nice 4X4 with leather seats, even so "bourgeois" as to have added a CD to play classical music on the way to the office (sooths frayed nerves). I believe everyone should live well and enjoy all the comforts enjoyed by the richest of this 20th century. I don't believe this is accomplished the communist way, by giving everyone equal amounts. I believe it is accomplished by allowing freedom of enterprise and unrestricted "capitalism" (although that word doesn't really describe what I mean because it has overly materialistic connotations).

I guess what triggered my tirade about the rich was seeing that movie "Mercury Rising" with Bruce Willis and Alec Baldwin. The latter actor played the very type of individuals that personifies the murderous wealthy individual whom I envision perishing at Armageddon. Balwin portrayed the type that always lures me into the sin of hating their guts for their grotesque hatred of human life other than their own. His plot to murder an autistic child for breaking a governing code is something that would have made even Hitler hypocritically grimace (as I picture those photos of him playing with little children in a paradise setting). In other words, this movie portrayed people whose banalities earn them their divine executions and the distinction of not having a burial (as graphically depicted in Revelation). These are the ones who occupy the homes and use a lion's share of the world's resources, for whom one cannot help but rejoice at their destruction.

Yesterday got me to thinking that the world is crawling with these types of individuals like an old house becomes infested with cockroaches. Isn't it time to call in the Orkin man to quip the exterminator company's commercial? ;-) The proverbial house needs to get tented before there is no more house.
