Hi Jaypeeto!

The West turned loose the beast in 1919, the Russians only fed it, and not even its first meal. The West had already fed it the Rhineland, Austria, the Sudetenland, and finally Czechoslovakia.

Another fact along those lines is that the Germans were allowed to train pilots and tank crews in Russia in the 1920s, to avoid the treaty restrictions placed on their armed forces after WWI. The Russians paid for that, too.
