That is one of the biggest jokes of Watchtower history that the Society wishes to forget. Many, I mean, many Witnesses don't know a thing about Beth-Sarim. Just ask any Witness and you'll see that the average Witness (even long-timers)
is in the dark about that. But how convenient that "Judge" Rutherford and his associates had the use of that mansion. That was a big expenditure but the Society doesn't make that same effort to arrange provisions for the poor among
Witnesses. Just think, the Society has no charitable arrangements for even the poor among themselves!!! (Only if they can get the congregations to spend, while they make about $800,000,000 a year) (James 1:27) They love to apply to
themselves the term "little flock" in Luke 12:32 but fail to apply in the minimum the next verse, verse 33. I hate it when I receive letters from the Society asking contributions of so and so amount per publisher for many arrangements but
yet not a dime is spent to help the poor. What a case example of "corban" (Mark 7:11) Any Witness out there just ask yourself if your congregation has any arrangements to help the poor among themselves. Most probably not. But how much
does your congo have collecting interest in the bank? I brought this point up to the rest of the body of elders and at my suggestion we passed a resolution to the congo to help those who are poor in the congo with some funds in the bank.
When you have a P.O that doesn't make a move then things probably don't get done. Thank God that for now I'm using my P.O status for good. Just for now though.
