them die also. I don't have the faith that you do however so I don't know if this will happen or not. It'd sure be nice.
Well it's complicated, because nothing is ever black and white. Sure there are bad people in this world - really sick, mean people, but..... well I'll give you and example of what I want to explain. My daughter had to do a medical history project last year, and she did it on her land-ladies son in law. He was abused as a child, (sexually etc) and had a very ruff upbringing. In his late teens he was diognosed with a mild case of spina bifida which meant that he had to cathater himself each time he urinates. As they were poor, he had to reuse cathaters, which meant he was subject to endless infections. His big break was meeting his wife who is a lovely person, but he's blown all that by getting drunk and raping a woman one night after a pub brawl. Having heard the deplorable story of his life I felt compassion for this guy even though I could never condone what he did. And that's what I feel about religious people and their judgementalism. I know I'd probably want to personally murder anyone who hurt one of my kids - I think I have it in me to do that - but by the same token, I know that life is complicated and is it right that God kills someone who's life has worked against them since day one. It's all very well for us whose lives have been swell, to sit back and say these villians deserve to die, but in some ways we are part of a society that does little to help the less fortunate and rewards those who are born on the right side of the tracks.
