"Doctor" Walter Martin was certainly an interesting character, that's for sure.

What I found most interesting about him from the outset, was that HUUUUUUUGE Bishop's Cross that he always liked to wear around his neck. The man
certainly had....well, shall we say, high aspirations?

Mitchell Pacwa is one of my favourite Catholic speakers on doctrine, and a very sincere and humble and loving fellow. I believe he is a Jesuit.

"Doctor" Walter Martin was something else indeed.
Even the Mormons got tired of his shenanigans, and put out several paperbacks, one of which exposed and documented a lot of his own, shall we say, skeletons in his theological closet.
He was not a "Ph.D." during most of the years that he was calling himself "Doctor" Walter Martin, and his "Ph.D" when once obtained was from shall we say a rather QUESTIONABLE school, credentials-wise.

He made fun of and was quick to point out, the scholastic dishonesty of Russell and Rutherford, but he had plenty of things of his own to be ashamed of. His "Reverend" status, as the Mormon authors documented thoroughly, had been revoked by the General Association of Regular Baptists because of his divorces.

I pray for his soul, and I don't harbor hatred for his memory, but he certainly was not the Knight In Shining Armor that his defenders seem to regard him as having been.

Regards,
Jaypeeto
