I read somewhere in one of Bill & Joan Cetnar's books that, as a joke, just to illustrate how off-the-wall the Society's "no blood" rules actually were, that Bill Cetnar told one of his relatives to write a "questions from our readers"
to the Society asking them if it was permissible to allow the cat to eat an unbled mouse.
According to the Cetnar's account,
their relative received an answer back from Brooklyn telling her that she should keep the
cat under
restraint and be more careful
in handling it.
Go figure! (and just TRY to keep a CAT
under "restraint").
