Today there is only one kind of person who rejects the fact of evolution: the religious person whose faith requires total denial of all facts that contradicts religious dogma. Evolution is observed every day. Evolutionary large-scale change is documented in the fossil record. The genetic evidence for evolution was what finally moved evolution into the realm of definite fact.
When somebody who is 99.7 % chimpanzee walks around denying kinship, it's just ridiculous. Indeed, I think the chimp has more reason to be ashamed of this kinship than ourselves.
