I had some similar experiences (including an older sister who's still in the org ;-) ). I followed the Society's rules quite a bit and was pretty serious about the religion. There were some in other congregations who were "doubles", and formed loose cliques who I didn't bother to try to hang out with. Most of these, just like you said, were sons and daughters of elders and MS. They do seem to get away with a lot, don't they?
Fortunately there were others who were a lot of fun and a little more grown-up who didn't take the "double" thing seriously.
I felt a lot older, too. Now that I'm leaving, I wish I had been less strict with myself on the WT rules and enjoyed myself a bit more...but what did I know back then, right? :-D
