It's good that we study on the life of our Lord and "keep following the Lamb no matter where he goes" (Rev 14:4) but sad to say the organization really gives Jesus a token place in our lives since after learning what he did for us then to say that he's not our mediator......Count how many times in the congregation the phrase "faithful and discreet slave" is used or the expression of praise to them and compare that with the number of times we really give Jesus any credit or praise. The emphasis to them overshadows the emphasis given to Jesus. "Paul [even more so, the "slave"] was not impaled for you, was he?" "Yes, what is Paul" (1Cor 1:13; 3:5) I serve as the presiding overseer in a Spanish congregation in New York City and I try to make efforts in the congregation to give the due honor to His Son as we do to the Father to His glory. (John 5:23; Phil 2:9-11) This is for now before I take any steps out.
