It was not my intention to criticize Roman Catholics or the Pope for his creative endeavors. I just found it amusing to think of the Pope appearing on MTV. I wonder what Beavis and Butt-head will say?

I've also wondered why the WTS doesn't use more effective and efficient means to reach people with their message. In the 20's, 30's, and 40's, they made use of cutting edge technology -- Photo Dramas, radio, soundcars, and the like. Then they settled into being a publishing empire with small forays into video and music.

So, although it seems odd to think of the Pope in a music video, I do admire his effectiveness.

It reminds me of something I read. I think Paul Krassner said it. "Pope John Paul would be a lot more popular if he changed his name to Pope John Paul George and Ringo."
