I'm know exactly what the agreement says (my wife is French and I got her to translate it for me)and it is SO easy to see the deception having been raised as a Witness and knowing
first hand that rejecting the JW blood doctrine meant disfellowshipping, as rejecting ANY JW doctrine would. So there is NO INDIVIDUAL choice in the matter. Every JW knows that. It was drummed into our heads since we were babies. And for
the WTS to furnish a press release stating that nothing had changed regarding the blood issue, an amicable agreement had been reached, blah blah blah, it's an outright lie. Two lies actually. One to the Bulgarian authorities, and one to
the rank & file for telling them that there was no compromise in Bulgaria.
Sadly, it may take for an incident to happen in Bulgaria where a brother or sister takes the agreement for what it says and accept a transfusion for themself or
their children. That could force the WTS's hand - if they don't bring action against the one who willingly accepted blood and it becomes known to JWs everywhere, the WTS would have to explain why it's different 'over there'. And if they
were to bring this person up before a committee they would open themselves up to some serious legal problems. I'll bet the Bulgarian govt. would just love to revoke the WTS's status for being deceived on the international stage by the
JWs.
Sooner or later, this will come back to BITE THEM!!
