Many people on this board hold to the idea that the Bible is not the infallible word of God.
On the other side, many people here hold to the idea that the Bible is the inerrant word of God.
So this questions is address to all:
When I was studying the book of Revelation I had the following question, which I never had the courage to ask of the book-study conductor:
Revelation 8:7
"The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood,
and it was hurled down upon the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up." (NIV)
Later Revelation 9:4 says,
"They were told not to harm the grass
of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads." (NIV)
So the question is, How come an army of locust (Rev 9), which is about to be turned loose on the earth, is instructed not to harm the grass, when in an earlier chapter (Rev 8) all the green grass was burned already?
Thank you for your answers?
