Rolf Furuli is a JW apologist here in Norway that makes the usual JW spokesmen seem rational by comparison. I think there is a clear negative correlation between how many times Furuli has beein on Norwegian TV and Radio and the JW growth rate. Alas, he's been very absent lately, obviously busy with his book. I have little interest in it, as I mostly prefer to watch paint dry on the wall to reading another trinity debate.
Before leaving the JWs, I read his "rebuttal" of C. O. Jonsson's Gentile Times Reconsidered. Alas, it is in Norwegian only, or you could be able to laugh with me.
He seems to have some talent for linguistics, though, and has earned an old-fashioned version of an MA in Semitic languages (that is, Hebrew). For a long time now, he's unsuccessfully tried to get a scholarship for pursuing a PhD.
I'm sure that his creditentials sound very impressive to JWs.
