Hi Jan, I loved your post and mused about how best to reply. I was going to do the "well I didn't evolve from an Ape like Mr Darwin thinks he did" routine... It astounds me just how many people still prattle off this inaccurate piece of Darwinism. I consider myself quite ignorant on many things but I learnt years ago that Darwin actually proposed that apes and man evolved from a common source. When someone starts up about not having apes as ancestors you know you they haven't got the first clue about evolution. Besides what's so wrong with apes? Who cares what we came from - it's what we are now that's significant and some of the posters here make me think the apes should be the ones who are insulted by this common misunderstanding.
