Apologies to the Board

Evidently a rogue line of code has resulted in the loss of our deleted postings. I must get ready for work, but caught this when quickly checking into to make sure everything is well on H2O, when a.j.w. left the topic "Hey Rick: Security - a.j.w. 03:49:26 3/15/99" In that topic I explained the troubling results of examining control/ (which, as the name implies, is a directory containing all code that controls the deleted/ postings). See that topic and my post there for description of what occurred. Again, if it was inadvertently my fault for causing this, I apologize. I sincerely wanted to examine the moderators' performance.

I suggest in the future that if a post is deleted you absolutely feel is in error, you "save-as" using your browser the deleted post to your own harddrive. Then email a copy of the entire saved post (saved as-is from the deleted directory). Because if it is a security problem, then *someone* has shown their expertise at impacting H2O as they feel fit.

Rick
