Hi Rick,
I'd concur with David's words.
In this case you seem ignorant (sorry - we Aussies tell it like it is) of the fact that Jesus himself had attributed the position of shepherd in this reference to himself (Matt. 26:35; Mark 14:27).
Of course, the FDS of the WTS has nothing to do with Matthew's gospel, at least have never drawn any plausible link.
v7 seems to be explanatory of v6, particularly describing how the "wounds" came about. It is of that "man" alone that God could use the term "my associate" in similar terms to John 10:30.
Surely the rest of the chapter refers to literal Israel - after all, it clearly needs to be read with chapter 12, and it is very hard to make any break or draw any conclusion that it should be spiritualised ever.
hth,
Andrew.
BTW - your suggestion that v1 refers to the Internet is hardly worthy of response, but I'll give you one alternate explanation:
* it begins "in that day"
linking it to the events of chapter 12 - perhaps you can describe how those events could possibly refer to witnesses in the 20th Century?
* it speaks of a well being opened to the house of David - this would seem to be a well of water
for purification from uncleanness as per (for instance ) the law of the red heifer in Numbers 19.
* this well has already been opened unto the Gentiles in Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 1:30-31), but in the future will be opened unto the house of
Israel after they recognise their Messiah.
