Well-
Jan covered it but it really is not hard to read up on this stuff. Make it to a book store or a library and look it up. After you see that there are nine different methods used by hundreds of cross-checking Archaeologists who
have long since forgotten religious debate if they ever thought about it. And how is someone going to miscount tree rings? 100,000 times? Nine different methods of absolute dating alone. Converging on the same time. We have a historical
vase, and the luminescence people date it without knowing it's history. But we know it's history, and we see that they are right. Calibrated Carbon dating comes up with the same date. We find hundreds of pieces of pottery and dozens of
independent labs come up with the same dates. A timber from a 500 year old tree in an old cathedral of known history is carbon dated. Dead on. The chemical compostion of the youngest rings are identical to preserved wooden artifacts in a
nearby area. But in the artifacts they are the oldest rings. The count goes on. The results come in independently from the dendrochronologists. Then from the carbon daters, who don't even know them. Dead on. Again. Multiply this by the
thousands all over the world. Pottery, tools, weapons, farming implements, even garments and food. And of course, bones. Including clearly intact skulls. Look at them yourself. Not the drawings. The photographs of a person holding them.
Then go home and tell yourself it's all some sort of hoax. Occasionally somebody screws up. Another scientist, rather than cover up for him, exposes him. He is terribly embarassed. How much do you think they check their work? What
percentage of screw ups do you think they have? What percentage of screw ups do Bible scholars have? What do they think of each others religious choices? Amazing how the scholars used are rarely, if ever the same religion as the person
quoting them.
Read it for yourself. You don't have to wait for a fundy to put a book together. They have. The smart ones don't argue with the dates. They say, well, God used evolution. He introduced the human spirit at a certain point.
Refering to The Bible as your scientific handbook authority is not real accurate. The Bible has initiated zero scientific advance or education in science. All of it's presumed commentary on science has been noticed after the facts were
known and advertised by science. The fact that you cannot cite a single item from it to demonstrate than it is more than, at best, history, should show what it's limitations are.
Why you think you will benefit by remaining ignorant of
the actual universe I cannot imagine. Read it for yourself.
