What about the possibility that the creator isn't omni-present and omnipotent? He/She could be eons beyond our understanding and still not have these characteristics.
We can't communicate with a child in the process of being born to explain whats happening to him/her. Perhaps that's where we are in the scheme of things.
The descriptions of the creator certainly don't have to be limited to the barbaric descriptions of an ancient superstitious people.
