| LIBERTY PRESS RELEASE - 4 MARCH 2002 Liberty name dispute: Injunction takes effect from tomorrow The Liberty injunction comes into effect tomorrow (Tuesday 5 March 2002) and Bransons flopstars band will no longer be able to call themselves Liberty. The effect of the Order, in the United Kingdom, is that from the 5th March 2002, the V2 group formerly known as Liberty is required to be known by another name adequately differentiating the group from the funk group Liberty. It has been agreed that the V2 group may call itself by a name featuring the word Liberty provided that the activities and promotion of the group and its records videos and other products under that name are effective in ensuring that the group is recognised by that new name alone and that the name complies with the final Order. Use by the V2 group of the name Liberty will not be permitted other than in relation to residual sales of V2s existing stocks of the first two singles and continued sales of third party compilation albums containing versions of either previous single in so far as the agreement in respect of the relevant compilation album was made prior to the 22nd January 2002. Liberty can now continue work on their new material which they had to shelve last year due to time dedicated to preparing for the trial. They hope to release new material in Spring 2002. After 8 months of fighting for the name Liberty we just want to get back to the music of Liberty said guitarist David Lyall.
