| COMING SOON: d20 MARVEL SUPER HEROES Well, here at Liberty Force, we have always been strong advocates of the classic Marvel Super Heroes RPG. The classic roleplaying game was put out by TSR in the 80's and was revered as one of the simplest yet fun RPG systems ever created. Well with the buyout of TSR by Wizards of the Coast, an effort was launched to revive this classic game using the now defunct SAGA system. Well, Wizards of the Coast no longer has the license for Marvel and now the only current game is Heroclix from WizKids (the makers of MageKnight) and it is a miniatures based battle game. So the traditional Role-player looking for an in-production, licensed set of rules for Marvel Superheroes is not going to find it. However, here at Liberty Force, we have set out to change that! Tom A. Kelly Jr. is currently nearly finished with a brand new, complete set of rules that will combine the best of the classic game with fresh ideas and current trends. Here now is an excerpt from an interview with Marvel Super Heroes d20 system creator Tom Kelly: "As for the Liberty Force web page, I am working on a new Marvel Role-playing game, and I am 85% done with it, not including the Roster, which would take me a long time. It uses the TF (Transformers) battle system which now allows people to "Dodge" attacks, unlike the classic game. I have to finish Powers, then do the Character Creation section, and then go over it one more time and correct typos. Finally I will format it and add pictures and throw a cover on it and call it done. The first characters I will convert will be the Judges handbook." "I am really excited about the game; theoretically, it should play better than any Hero game yet made, yet stays true to the heart of the original game. I am going to assume that when its finished, it will be two books: The game book, and a Roster book. I assume that the game book will be about a 20 - 50 meg Microsoft Word document, and the Roster book could be a little bit more."
