The Stix's consist of Liberty (the mother) and Gracie (the daughter). The name 'Stix' came from a nickname that I gave to Libby soon after we got her. I was just saying her name one day and it just came out: Libbystix. She's been stuck with it ever since. Gracie, a.k.a. 'Ministix', was nicknamed Ministix when she was born because she looked so much like Libby. That name, too, has just stuck with her.

The Stix's are Pit Bull blooded, but not fully-blooded. We don't know Libby's past from her birth through about her 3rd month. When we got her, she was so little that we had no idea that she had such blood in her. However, upon taking her to the Vet, we were told that she was indeed Pit Bull blooded. I admit that I was somewhat apprehensive about keeping her after finding that out, but now I wouldn't trade her for the world. She and Ministix have brought a great deal of enjoyment to our families and have a great deal of character that makes each of them unique.
