Potomac Cup Regatta
Being out on a boat again was pretty fun, although there's a big difference between our 40+ foot Jantih and Steve's little Hampton. Steve's boat doesn't even have a keel! Things seemed to happen a lot faster, but fortunately I didn't cause us to capsize or anything.

Craig was quite the trooper and spent a whopping 5 hours walking around with Sydney and Avery. Five hours!

Too bad you couldn't tell what was going on from shore, since the race took place far out on the river.
Me out on the trapeze
Fortunately, Craig struck up a conversation with Patty (who even bought sunglasses for Avery!) who talked about what was happening out on the water.

Sydney also found some neat things to lick on the dock, apparently.
Arriving at the boat launch
It took me a while to remember all the sailing stuff that we did with Dad. I still don't have a clue how to sail, but at least I can follow orders. Well, try, anyway... Going out on the trapeze was a lot of fun, but I only did it in the first race.
We only had two races on Sunday (there were three the day before), but that was more than enough for me! I felt bad that Craig was wandering the shore all by himself (well, with Avery and Sydney) and was getting pretty hungry.

Steve and I got fourth place in both races, but, combined with how he did the day before (with a more experienced crew), "we" got third place overall.
