Task III Essay
In this world, some women feel their husbands
are not honest to them and hold back the truth. But some women think their
husbands love, their love is can no way repay.
In Act II of the Crucible, Elizabeth feels
John is not honest to her. Since John came back home, she asked him why he is
so late. And she judged John if he was alone with Abigail. According to their
dialogue, John said "I have no business in Salem." from this
sentence, we can know John told a lie. That is why Elizabeth thinks John is not
honest to her.
In the poem "To My Dear And Loving
Husband", the narrator thinks her husband loves, and his love is she can
no way repay. According to the poem, "Thy love is such I can no way
repay." In this poem, the narrator loves he husband. She thinks her husband's
love is more valuable than the mines of gold and more important that all the
riches that the East doth hold. Her love cannot quench nor ought.
These two passages talking about the
different feelings among two women to their husbands. The second one uses a
poem format to describe it. Also, it uses metaphor to describe it.
Based on the materials that talked above,
Elizabeth feels her husband is not honest to her. The narrator feels her
husband extremely loves her.
