18/11/2003   Olympic Scholarship for Athlete

Kevin Arthurton, the 2003 Pan American Games 200m finalist and 2002 Central American and Caribbean Games bronze medal winner in the Long Jump, left St Kitts in November for the High Performance Training Centre in Kingston, Jamaica on a nine months athletic scholarship. Kevin is the first athlete from the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis to be awarded an athlete's scholarship from Olympic Solidarity. While in Jamaica, he will be under the supervision of Coach Fitzalbert Coleman of the University of Technology, where will undergo high levels of training and competition in his quest to qualify for the 2004 Olympics.
