ROBERT SCHWARTZMAN
This page is dedicated to Robert (Coppola) Schwartzman, born December 24th, 1982 in Los Angeles, California! He is so awesome! He's an actor! He was in the movies; The Virgin Suicides(1999), The Princess Diaries(2001), and Lick the Star(1998)!  He is also in a band (that has been together for 2 years) called Rooney (a California based band)! The band used to be called Ed Rooney, named after the principal in the 80's classic film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", until they changed it to just Rooney! He does the lead vocals and plays guitar and occasionally plays the keyboard! ~very talented! He has changed his name from Robert Schwartzman to Robert Schwartzman-Cage (because of his relation to Nicholas Cage~cousin~), and now change to Robert Carmine~said that he changed to Carmine because he's using his grandfather's first name as his last name to honor his grandfather's memory! His grandfather was musically talented  and he passed away when Robert was 9! Not sure if that's true ... saw it on a Rooney message board!

Robert Schwartzman was initially quite nervous before his audition for Garry Marshall, but calmed down as they talked about the role.

"At first I really got really freaked out at the audition, but I felt comfortable after talking with Garry," says Schwartzman. "We talked about who I am and my hobbies ... I play music and that's what they were looking for, a musician, for the role of Michael." Schwartzman is the lead singer and songwriter and plays keyboard and guitar for the L.A. based band Rooney. His character, Michael has a passion for music... and for Mia.

" I think Michael cares for Mia because she's not perfect," says Schwartzman. "She makes mistakes, like embarassing herself in debate class, but shows up again the next day. And he loves her for that."                             ~ taken from www.geocities.com/trendyuen/rs.html
