LHS Band 2002-2003 Year in Review

--9 members were selected for the Mid-State bands
--5 members were selected for the All-State band and orchestra
--13 members were selected for the Tenn. Tech Festival of Winds honor band
--10 members were selected for the MTSU Wind Band Conference
--14 members were selected for the Rutherford County All-Star band
--4 members were selected for the MTSU Honors Clarinet Choir
--1 member was selected to study privately and have a master class with members of the London Symphony Orchestra
--4 members were selected as members of the Murfreesboro Youth Orchestra
--1 member preformed a solo with the Murfreesboro Youth Orchestra
--2 members were selected as members of the Nashville Youth Symphony
--2 members were named Valedictorians of their class
--The band received superior ratings at the MTSBOA concert festival in all categories with two ensembles
--The band was chosen by taped audition to lead the Magic Kingdom 100 years of Magic parade
--The marching band received superior ratings in all contests in at least one caption and received superior band at three contests
--The marching band defeated 48 of 56 bands in our division at this years contests
