PTSA Meeting 1/09/03
-
Attendees: Joe Silveria, Ronald Horii, Lore Osaki-Horii, Chris Heller,
Sue Suttle, Karen Jolly, Cary Catching
-
Meeting started 7:30 pm.
-
We reviewed last month's meeting minutes. Chris Heller moved to approve
the minutes as amended. Motion passed.
-
Grad Night: Sue Suttle
-
The Camelot Park contract prices are up. They are charging $65 per person
this year vs. $60 last year.
-
There were originally offering us 20 free arcade tokens per person and
40 additional for $5. Last year, they had unlimited tokens, but not all
the machines were turned on. We got them to give us 40 free tokens, but
raised the additional token price to 30 for $5. We may decide to buy extra
tokens with the Grad Night funds and have the chaperones give them to the
students.
-
Sue got the third copy of the contract. They didn't have the DJ and karaoke
on the first 2.
-
Treasurer's Report: Karen Jolly
-
Balance $13,717.72.
-
No activity last month.
-
Holiday favors were provided for Lincoln staff. Jan Finger picked up the
candy and made cards to go with the treats.
-
We need a nominating committee of 3 people and 1 alternate to nominate
PTSA officers for next year. We need to vote on the committee next month
in the general meeting. We need to elect new officers by April or
May.
-
PTSA Scholarship:
-
Joe needs to appoint 3 non-senior parents to be on the scholarship committee.
-
Scholarship applications are due 4/1.
-
The committee will meet in April.
-
The results will be announced in May.
-
We are planning to offer 2 scholarships for up to $250 each ($500 has been
allocated.) However, after reviewing the applications, we may decide
to divide up the money more or ask for more money.
-
Meeting adjourned 7:45 pm.
-
Next meeting February 13, 2003.
