Greetings once again! We would like to thank each of you that had the opportunity to join us for the Lackey Class of 1990 Ten Year Reunion on August 26th. Though only about 30% of the class attended, I believe all had a good time. Below you will see some of the survey results and responses to the questions.
I‘d also like to thank the reunion committee for all their hard work and Dina (Reese) Caddeo for coming through to assist us in the final stages.
Stay in touch! We’ll see you in another five? Ten?

For those of you that did not fill out a survey, some of the questions covered subjects like your most embarrassing high school memory, what classmates would find most surprising about your life since graduation, best/highest accomplishment, where you see yourself in five or ten years, and higher education/current careers. The following are some of the results…can you guess whose answers they are? See the bottom of the page!
A) Most embarrassing memory-
"Getting in a fight with Steve Clark…..naked!"
"Puking out of the limo sun roof on the way to Junior Prom"
"Getting arrested for Truancy and brought back to school by the police during lunch after losing a race to the rambler (Troy’s 1969 shit-knuckle brown car)."
"Running out of gas on the way home from school (11th grade)"
"Shaving my mustache 1 day prior to graduation"
B) What classmates would find most surprising about your life since graduation-
"I hiked 2 miles up a mountain in the snow to elope near a 60 foot waterfall!"
"That I am not a virgin".
"That I’m still living"
"That I had a child at 21-and my parents didn’t kill me!"
"That I drink a lot".
C) Best/highest accomplishment since graduation-
"Getting out of Charles County"
"Founded a chapter of Delta Upsilon Fraternity"
"Having kids"
"Receiving the county seal for rescue of an elderly woman from a working house fire"
"Receiving the National
Meritorious Unit Citation Award from the Director of Central Intelligence"
Where do you see yourself in 5, 10 years?
The majority of classmates answered that they see themselves married with children/more children, possibly retired, earning advanced degrees, business owners, but basically just enjoying their lives.
As far as higher education and career paths-
Out of the surveys
we collected about 50% are college graduates, and at least 3 classmates
have earned graduate degrees. There were at least 4 CPAs and lots of classmates
making careers for themselves in accounting/finance/banking. There were
several stay at home moms, a bankruptcy attorney (Steve Metz), an air traffic
controller (Eric Lomoscolo), several engineers, a firefighter (Frankie
Hannah), a speech pathologist (Kelly Good), teachers, a pilot, (Rick Sheffe-C-5
Galaxy-US’s largest aircraft, 3rd in the world)…all in all,
our class is doing well, wouldn’t you say?
We also asked about what type of reunion classmates would like to see in five or ten years. The overwhelming majority said a cruise (dinner, booze, or otherwise). Believe it or not, we looked into this option for the ten year and it was very expensive (approx $150 couple). A close second group was interested in a weekend getaway event. If I’m on the committee next time around-I say maybe we could incorporate an optional Friday night cruise and family/couple events all weekend. An amazing 25 people volunteered to help plan the next reunion-which could lead to all kinds of possibilities. What would you think of a reunion in the Virgin Islands? Anissia hopes to be the GM of her resort by then and would love to have us head down to visit.
For some, waiting another five or ten years before we get together again was too long. If you are interested in a yearly gathering, let me know and if there is enough interest- I would be willing to help organize picnics, weekends camping or hiking, beach trips, or amusement parks...whatever. Keep in touch.
Look forward to seeing you all again!
Jessica
