| Kim Russell Brown | Kim Russell Brown moved back to Longview three years ago.
She is the Marketing Director for Longview Regional Medical Center and has
been employed with them since 2003. She is also part of the Longview Regional
Top 100 and Leadership Teams, as well as a member of the 2006-2007 Leadership
Longview class. Kim is a graduate of LeTourneau University, with a Bachelor
in Business Administration.
Kim is a loyal and dedicated single parent to her daughter, Gorman, who is 12. Gorman is a 7th grader at Judson Middle School this year. She is involved in English and Western Equestrian Riding, tennis, drama club, choir and likes to do yoga with her mom. In the last 10 years, Kim’s biggest accomplishment has been overcoming her struggles with addiction to alcohol & drugs, which she will celebrate 10 years this October. She also has a great sense of satisfaction in rekindling her friendship with Gorman’s dad, Kenneth. She also takes great pride in raising Gorman in a single-parent home, with strong Christian values and ethics. In Kim’s free time she enjoys remodeling projects on her home, yoga, working out, landscaping, reading and traveling. Kim also volunteers with various organizations, such as the American Heart Association, Women’s Center of East Texas, Longview Partnership, Longview Community Ministries and a member of Life Point Church. Kim and Gorman have a dog and a cat. |
| Gina Friday Vanderslice | Gina Friday Vanderslice worked in Longview for several years in the Home
Health industry, before remarrying and moving to Garland, Texas 6 ½
years ago. She now works for the City of Garland, as an Administrative Assistant
and Sidewalk Coordinator for the Engineering Department. Her husband Gary,
also works for the City of Garland, as a Draftsman for the Engineering Department.
She has been with the City for the last 6 ½ years. She is on several
communities for the City of Garland and is a member of the Garland Chamber
of Commerce. She attended Kilgore Jr. College after high school.
High school was a great time for her. She made many new friends after moving to Longview from Louisiana, where she grew up. Everyone was friendly and welcomed her. During her senior year, she became pregnant and got married to her first husband and shortly after graduation she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Amber. During their 14 years of marriage, they had another beautiful baby girl named Courtney. Now, 20 years later she is a proud Grandparent to Zane Aiden-Dale, son of her daughter Amber and Bryan, who is now 7 months old. She also has another Grandchild Cameron, the daughter of Chris and Meredith, who is Gary’s son and also works for the City of Garland in the Water Department. Gina enjoys life, traveling, shopping, gardening, home improvements and
spending time with family and friends. Most of her family still lives
in the Longview area and she comes to town every chance she gets. |
