Steven E. Tarver

Services for Steven E. Tarver, 60, Monon, formerly of Logansport and Battle Ground, will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel.

He died at 2:47 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2009, in his residence.

Born Jan. 25, 1949, in Logansport, he was the son of Woodrow S. “Woody” and Carla Maxwell Tarver. He was married Oct. 6, 2006, in Delphi, to Carol Cobleigh, who survives.

Steve was retired from Purdue University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War, earning the Bronze Star.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The Rev. Ken Smith will officiate at the services. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Legion Circle at Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at Kroeger Funeral Home.
