Timberlake Gifts, Porter Drugs,and Chogas' Billiards. |

The Kokomo Morning Times predicted – after Logansport
won its Regional, 82-78 over the Valparaiso Vikings – that the
Berries would win the state basketball crown. |

Lebanon’s Tigers with their All-American Rick Mount
eliminated the Berries 65-64 at the Lafayette Semi-State in Purdue’s
Lambert Fieldhouse after Logan had a 51-39 edge going into the 4th
quarter. |

placed third in the N.C.C. |
