Logansport - Services for Frederick A. (Rick) Powlen, 22 of 45 Dykeman Road, Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Marocco Funeral Chapel with burial in Indian Creek Cemetery..

He died from injuries sustained in a car - truck accident, three miles east of Logansport on US 24 at 12:40 a.m. Thursday..

Born May 17, 1948, in Logansport, he was the son of Dwight (Duke) and Lucy Cantoni Powlen.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed as a construction worker.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Lucy Powlen, with whom he resided;  the grandfather, Fred Cantoni, 1325 Erie Ave.; and two half-brothers, Daniel T. Powlen, 3101 N. Pennsylvania Ave.; and Richard D. Powlen, Winamac.
