Richard H. ‘Rick’ Lowes

Services for Richard H. “Rick” Lowes, 59, Chicago, formerly of Logansport, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Ever-Rest Memorial Park.

He passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, in his residence.

Born April 24, 1949, in Logansport, he was the son of Herbert H. and Mary Kathryn Bartenbach Lowes.

Rick was a senior analyst at Harris Bank at their headquarters in downtown Chicago. He was a 1968 graduate of Logansport High School, where he played on the varsity tennis team. He earned his BA degree and master’s degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, and was an IU fan all of his life. He also was a Chicago Cubs fan.

Surviving are nephew, John Lowes, Logansport; uncle and aunt, Bernard and Kathryn Lowes, Logansport; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Jack E. Lowes.

The Rev. Frank Hibbard will officiate.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at Kroeger Funeral Home.
