Logansport - Sunday, October 14, 1979 Mrs. Vicki Sue Collins, 30, formerly of Logansport, was killed at 1:29 a.m. Saturday in an auto-truck crash at the southwest edge of Lafayette. Mrs. Collins enroute to her residence at 539 Gordon Court, Lafayette from her work as a waitress at Amato's restaurant, was driving south on the old Romney road and failed to stop for the Ind. 25 intersection, according to sheriff's deputies. The 1972 sedan was struck by a semi tractor truck being driven west on Ind 25 by Everett Huston, Sr., 48, of Collinsville, IL. Mrs. Collins was born here January 8, 1949 to Donald C. and Naomi Ridenour Brown. A member of Jehovah's Witnesses, she had been employed here at the Captain Logan Hotel, Switches, and the Holiday Inn before she left here three years ago. She is survived by her father, the mother, Mrs. Naomi Biber, 320 Barron St; two daughters, Karri Ann and Kammile Aron, both at home; a sister, Mrs. Carla Humphrey, Walton; a half brother, Daniel Landis, Oceanside, CA; and three half sisters, Mrs. Joyce Lee Naftzger, Rt. 2, Logansport; Mrs. Pamela Odom, Rt. 5, Logansport; and Mrs. Rita Jaret, Manchester, NH.
